 Mr. Nuno Silva holds a MSc. in Electrical Engineering (1995) from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, and a MSc. in Business Management (2005) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He further enriched his academic credentials with an MBA (2003) from the same institution, focusing on Finance and Marketing (grade 18/20). His global exposure includes executive programs at Harvard Business School (Key Executives Program, 2014) and Cheung Kong Global School of Business, China (CEO Program, 2019). Additionally, he completed a one-year specialization in Energy Regulation (2014) at the Florence School of Regulation. Currently serving as the Executive Board Member & General Director of R&D Nester (since 2013), Mr. Nuno Silva has successfully built the organization into a leading R&D center for smart energy, securing €20M+ in funding. Previously, he led a renewable energy company from startup to €14M turnover, 60+ employees, and 16-country presence, managing 5,000+ MW of projects. His earlier roles include leading an Energy Consulting Office (2009-2013) to profitability and developing a national telco network for SMEs. He actively contributes to European energy policies, serving as Portuguese Representative at CIGRE (2016-2022), Co-Chair at ETIP-SNET (2023-…), and a BRIDGE Task Force Co-Leader (2022).
