Through my studies and research, I have developed expertise in understanding soil, water, and forest degradation risks due to land use changes, decline of soil fertility, water quantity and quality deterioration, flood hazard assessment, hydrologic modeling, soil erosion modeling, evaluation of land use change adaptation measures at the household-level, policies and practices on adaptation to land use changes, impact of different land use and slope position on soil physicochemical properties, etc.Project Management Skills: Successfully managed Masters and Internship research projects with limited budgets.Developed teamwork skills by training, supervising, and working with numerous fieldwork research assistants.Organized and held meetings with various government and NGO officials from the local to the national level during my fieldwork research in Ethiopia.Completed my master’s thesis on time.Communication Skills: Developed communication skills through research and community engagement services, presenting research outcomes at conferences, giving tutorial classes to undergraduate students, and through regular interaction with my colleagues, academic supervisors, and administrative staff.Software skills: Very good in the use of SPSS, SAS, R software, WEPP model, STAT, SWAT, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc. software programs.
