He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly, a position he assumed in February 2025. Prior to this, he worked as a Consultant in Medical Oncology at the University Hospital of Larissa. His earlier roles at the same hospital include serving as a University Scholar and a Fellow with consultant responsibilities in the Department of Medical Oncology. Dr. Tsapakidis completed a residency in Medical Oncology at the University Hospital of Larissa, where he also engaged in volunteer evening clinical practice. His foundational training includes residencies in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Larissa and a six-month rotation in Hematology at the University Hospital of Larissa. He began his medical career as a Scientific Associate in the Department of Medical Oncology at the University Hospital of Larissa, serving from 2008 to 2009.
