Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Abdullah Yilmaz is a distinguished chemist and academician recognized globally for his remarkable contributions to analytical and pharmaceutical chemistry. His name is listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in consecutive Stanford University global rankings, reflecting his exceptional research productivity and impact. With more than 175 scientific publications, including over 150 indexed in SCI journals, Dr. Yilmaz has established himself as a leading researcher in the fields of analytical method validation, phytochemical analysis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and bioactive natural product research. He has also achieved significant global collaboration, working with scientists from more than 27 countries, including the USA, Japan, France, Italy, India, and Saudi Arabia, contributing to internationally recognized research networks in chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Yilmaz earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Middle East Technical University (METU), followed by a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harran University. His early career included serving as a Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography Specialist and later as Chief Laboratory Specialist at Dicle University’s Science and Technology Research and Application Center, where he honed his expertise in instrumental and analytical techniques. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Dicle University, where he teaches advanced chemistry courses and supervises research projects focused on natural product analysis and bioactivity profiling.
