Dr. Swaroop Kumar Mandal | Polymer composites | Best Researcher Award

Dr. Swaroop Kumar Mandal is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in Nanocomposites, Energy Storage, and Renewable Technologies, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pimpri, Pune, Maharashtra, India. He completed his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India, under the supervision of Dr. Deepak Kumar, focusing on the design and development of smart nanocomposites for energy storage applications. His academic journey includes an M.Tech from Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri, Dhanbad, where he conducted performance investigations on CuO–Paraffin Wax in solar water heater systems under the guidance of Naresh Prasad Choudhry, and a B.Tech from JIET, Cuttack, Odisha. With more than seven years of research experience and over a year in academia, he has established himself as an emerging expert in the synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of advanced polymer nanocomposites, smart materials, and biocompatible systems. His professional portfolio includes seven patents and more than fourteen publications in reputed SCI-indexed journals, demonstrating his significant contributions to the development of sustainable energy materials and next-generation supercapacitors. Dr. Swaroop Kumar Mandal has also gained valuable industrial experience as a Junior Technical Officer at the Electronics Corporation of India Limited, Kolkata, and as a Site Engineer at M/S Shankar Enterprise, Jharkhand, which enhanced his practical understanding of engineering applications. His expertise spans thermal and mechanical characterization techniques such as TGA, DTA, DSC, DMA, XRD, and UV-Visible Spectroscopy.
