Education:

Dr. Imran Ali is a dedicated scholar with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ningbo Institute of Material Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where he conducted research on the fabrication and mechanical behavior of self-reinforced PP structures. Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Ali completed an MPhil in Mechanical Design from Beihang University in Beijing, achieving an outstanding grade of A+ for his thesis on the design and analysis of honeycomb structures with applications as flexible structures. He began his academic journey with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, where he focused on utilizing gas engine exhaust gases for air-conditioning, showcasing his early interest in sustainable engineering solutions. Dr. Ali’s academic and research experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a passion for innovative engineering solutions.

Work Experiencce:

Dr. Imran Ali is an Assistant Professor at the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, a position he has held since February 13, 2019. In this role, he is actively involved in teaching, research, training, and management activities within the Outcome-Based Assessment (OBE) system. Dr. Ali’s dedication to education is evident through his contributions to undergraduate courses such as Machine Design and CAD, Energy Resources and Utilization, Sustainable Manufacturing Process, and Sustainable Engineering Materials. He also imparts his expertise in master’s courses, including Energy Resources & Utilization, Structural Health Monitoring, and Research Methodology. Prior to his current role, Dr. Ali served as a Lecturer at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, from April 15, 2010, until his promotion to Assistant Professor. His years of experience in academia have equipped him with valuable insights and skills that he continues to apply in his current position.
