Mst. Antora Akter is an accomplished researcher and veterinary scientist whose expertise spans biomedical photonics, diagnostic imaging, bone and soft tissue surgery, anaesthesia and pain management, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases, wound and fracture biology, as well as molecular biology and immunology. She holds a Master of Science in Surgery from the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University, where she achieved a perfect academic record. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the same institution laid a strong foundation for her extensive research and clinical practice in both large and small animal surgery, including orthopaedic, abdominal, and elective procedures. Her research work demonstrates deep engagement with translational veterinary science, focusing on the physiological, biochemical, and histopathological aspects of animal health. She has authored several influential papers, including Clinical Approach and Successful Intervention of Congenital Hydrocephalus in Neonatal Calf, Paravertebral Anaesthesia in Goats: A Comparative Study of Various Local Analgesic Agents, Hematobiochemical and Histological Evaluation of Tissue Biopsies in Calves with Long Bone Fractures Treated Via Internal Fixation, Comparative Evaluation of Cutaneous Wound Healing in Castrated and Uncastrated Black Bengal Goats, and Comparative Study on the Clinico-Hemato-Biochemical Assessment of Different Anesthetic Agents in Rabbits. She has also contributed to interdisciplinary research such as Assessing the Safety of Combined Therapy, Croton Membranaceus and Tamsulosin, in the Self-Prescribed Treatment.
