Dr. Peng Gao received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Southwest Jiao Tong University in 2010. He then pursued his PhD in Applied Physics at the University of Twente, The Netherlands, from 2015 to 2019. During his PhD, he also participated in successive postgraduate and doctoral programs at Southwest Jiao Tong University and the University of Twente.

He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 2019 to 2022. He then became an associate researcher and later a researcher at the same institution. His research focuses on high-field superconducting magnets, superconducting materials, and their applications.
