Timea Claudia Ghitea’s educational journey is marked by a strong commitment to excellence and continuous development. She earned a doctorate in biomedical sciences with a specialization in clinical and sports nutrition in 2020. In 2022, she completed her specialization in nutrition and dietetics at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Oradea. She has completed several postgraduate studies in clinical pharmacy and nutrition, such as the Nutrition and Dietetics post-university studies in Timisoara in 2017. Ghitea also holds a Master’s degree in Cell Biology (2006) and a Pharmacy degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Oradea, in 2006. She has further advanced her education by gaining a solid background in biology and chemistry, earning a degree from the Faculty of Sciences in 2002. Ghitea also completed the Pharmacy Assistant Specialty at Vasile Voiculescu Post-High School in 1999. Her broad academic foundation has shaped her as a leading expert in her fields.

Experience 

Timea Claudia Ghitea has an extensive professional background spanning over 20 years in the pharmacy and clinical nutrition sectors. She has been a University Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Oradea since 2017, where she specializes in nutrition and dietetics. Ghitea also holds the position of Clinical Nutritionist at Echo Laboratories since 2017, focusing on clinical and sports nutrition. Previously, she served as the Pharmacist Director of the Serbian Pharmacy from 2012 to 2017 and MIG3 Pharmacy from 2011 to 2012. Her career began as an Assistant Pharmacist at Delia Pharmacy in 1999, and she later progressed to work at Fontana Pharmacy from 2006 to 2011. Ghitea has also served in leadership roles within the College of Pharmacists Bihor, including as President of the Discipline Committee. Her versatile career demonstrates expertise in both academic and clinical settings, contributing significantly to healthcare.

Timea Claudia Ghitea’s research interests lie primarily in clinical nutrition, sports nutrition, and biomedical sciences. Her work focuses on how nutrition can affect clinical outcomes, including the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and osteoporosis. Ghitea’s research also addresses the long-term impacts of long COVID, particularly in relation to cardiomyopathies and mental health disorders. She investigates the interdisciplinary approach to solving complex medical issues through nutritional interventions, collaborating with international colleagues. As part of her expertise in clinical pharmacy, she also explores the relationship between pharmaceutical treatments and their impacts on nutritional status. Additionally, Ghitea has contributed to several research projects related to cardiotoxicity in breast cancer treatment and the impact of vaccination adherence in postpartum mothers. Her academic work aims to bridge the gap between clinical practice and research, focusing on improving patient care through evidence-based nutritional strategies.
