With a strong academic foundation in Marine Mechanical and Equipment Engineering and advanced studies in Marine Electrical, Electronic, and Control Engineering from Korea Maritime & Ocean University, Dr. Lee has built a versatile career that bridges technology innovation and sustainable ocean policy. Over a decade of professional experience across leading institutions such as Hanjin Heavy Industries, Gas Entec, and the Korea Maritime & Ocean University has shaped his deep understanding of ship design, offshore plant systems, and energy-efficient marine technologies. His research and professional activities focus on advancing low-carbon maritime solutions, particularly the integration of hybrid and electric propulsion systems for small and mid-sized vessels. As a senior researcher at the Ocean Policy & Planning Strategy Center of KMOU, Dr. Lee leads and manages national R&D projects that drive the green transformation of the maritime sector, focusing on decarbonization, digitalization, and innovation in shipbuilding.
